Reliable Spine care follows a structured path from relief to lasting stability. Below are the phases of care we offer, and an outline of the costs involved. Your clinician will agree the right plan with you after your assessment.
Our phases of care
Initial intensive stage (inflammatory phase)
Ultrasound-guided dry needling, gentle mobilisation using the Raphael 707 automatic drop function, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation towards the end of the phase to break down scar-tissue adhesions and allow normal healing. Aim: reduce inflammation, improve movement and reduce pain. This phase normally lasts 2 to 4 weeks, with 2 to 3 sessions per week. In more severe or chronic cases it may last 6 to 12 weeks.
Corrective stage
Once symptoms have subsided, the aim is to restore normal spinal function, promote healing and improve sensorimotor integration for a long-term solution. We use Raphael 707 dynamic 3D spinal decompression, chiropractic adjustments, and functional and kinetic rehabilitation. Where appropriate a scoliosis brace supports postural correction. This phase usually lasts 6 to 8 weeks, with 1 to 2 sessions per week.
Stabilisation stage
We retrain the spinal stabilisers with exercises customised to your needs, and you are encouraged to return to your favourite activities. Chiropractic adjustments and 3D spinal decompression continue in this phase. This is usually fortnightly and lasts up to 12 weeks.
Maintenance stage
The spine is under constant load, so the discs face continued compression. Our maintenance phase monitors spine function, decompresses the discs and preserves the correction. It is a form of preventative care, with check-ups every 4 to 6 weeks.
Treatment costs
The initial consultation takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Your clinician will outline any recommended ongoing care and its cost in your report of findings, so you can decide what is right for you.
