What to Expect at Reliable Spine

A Thorough Assessment. A Clear Understanding. A Personalised Plan.

At Reliable Spine, we believe that effective care starts with understanding your spine, your symptoms and your individual goals. That is why we follow a structured two-visit process, giving us the opportunity to assess your condition thoroughly, explain our findings and discuss the most appropriate options for your care.

Visit 1: Initial Consultation and Examination

Your first visit is dedicated to understanding your health history, assessing your condition and determining what may be contributing to your symptoms.

1. Understanding Your Health History

We begin by discussing your current symptoms, when they started, any previous injuries or accidents, your medical history and how your condition affects your daily life. We will also explore your concerns and what you hope to achieve from care.

2. Comprehensive Physical Examination

Your chiropractor will carry out an appropriate physical examination based on your presentation. This may include an assessment of your posture, spinal movement, range of motion, muscle function and neurological function, alongside other relevant clinical tests.

3. X-rays, Where Clinically Indicated

Where clinically appropriate, spinal X-rays may be recommended to provide additional information about your spinal structure and alignment. Our on-site X-ray suite offers the convenience of imaging at the clinic, when indicated and appropriate.

X-ray findings can help us assess relevant structural changes and inform clinical decision-making. Imaging is not necessary for every patient and will only be undertaken when justified by your clinical presentation.

The goal of your first visit is to gather the information needed to understand your condition and determine the most appropriate next steps.

Visit 2: Your Report of Findings

Your second visit is your opportunity to understand the results of your assessment and what they mean for you.

1. Reviewing Your Findings Together

We will go through the findings from your initial consultation and examination, including any X-ray findings where applicable. We will explain the relevant clinical findings in clear, understandable language, helping you understand what we have identified and how it relates to your symptoms and concerns.

2. Answering Your Questions

We want you to feel informed and confident about your options. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your concerns and understand the implications of the findings before making any decisions about care.

3. Discussing Your Personalised Care Plan

If your assessment indicates that chiropractic treatment is appropriate, we will discuss a personalised care plan based on your clinical findings, individual needs and goals.

Your plan will outline the recommended approach to care, its intended objectives and the proposed next steps. We will explain our recommendations and discuss any relevant alternatives, limitations and expectations.

4. Beginning Care When You Are Ready

Treatment does not begin automatically. Care will commence once we have discussed the recommendations, addressed your questions and agreed on an appropriate plan together.

If chiropractic treatment is not suitable, or if further investigation or referral is needed, we will explain the reasons and discuss the appropriate next steps.

Our Commitment to You

At Reliable Spine, we want you to understand your condition, your options and the reasoning behind our recommendations before beginning care.

Our two-visit process allows us to take the time needed to assess your presentation, explain the findings and develop an appropriate plan with you.

First, understand your spine. Then, understand your options. Finally, decide on your care together.

Your health is a partnership, and informed decisions are at the heart of everything we do.
